What you need
A Mac
A Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 27 or later.
An iPhone or iPad
Built for iPhone Duo, and works with any iPhone or iPad. During the beta, install Sidekeys for iPhone from your TestFlight invite (join the beta if you haven't).
A USB-C cable, or Wi-Fi
A cable that carries data gives the lowest delay. Or pair once and connect over Wi-Fi, encrypted between your two devices.
Install
-
Open the download
Open Sidekeys.dmg from your Downloads folder.
-
Drag Sidekeys to Applications
In the window that opens, drag the Sidekeys icon onto the Applications folder.
-
Open Sidekeys
Open it from your Applications folder. Sidekeys lives in the menu bar at the top of your screen, so look for its icon there rather than in the Dock.
-
Allow two permissions when asked
macOS asks for these the first time. Turn both on in System Settings when prompted:
Screen Recording lets Sidekeys show your Mac's screen on your phone.
Accessibility lets taps on your phone control your Mac's pointer.
-
Get the iPhone app
Install Sidekeys on your iPhone or iPad from your TestFlight invite, and open it.
-
Plug in
Connect your iPhone to your Mac with a USB-C cable and unlock your phone. Your Mac's display appears on the phone within a few seconds.
